Suzy Zimmermann is the Queen of Cake. Her couture cake studio focuses on creating edible works of art that are individually tailored to the client's wishes. Her expertise in cake decorating combined with knowledge of the latest trends allows her team to bring any style to the cake table. After many years of working in NYC, Suzy Zimmermann returned to San Antonio and established Queen of Cake in 2005. With a background in Education, Fine Arts, Catering, and Event Planning, Suzy is in demand as both a Cake Artist and Instructor. She is the current President of ICES (International Cake Exploration Societe), past Representative for TexasICES, a two-term past President of Frosting Creators, member of American Association of Wedding Planners, and member of Texas State Floral Association. She holds a Pastry and Baking Arts Certificate from Esscofier School of Culinary Arts.
Suzy was originally taught baking and cake decorating by her grandmother. She went on to study formally with world renown teachers to learn a wide array of decorating techniques and mediums. She continues to stay on top of cutting edge techniques and designs in order to serve the most discriminating clients.
